The University of Michigan (U-M), a globally recognized leader in research and education, has expanded its collaboration with Vocareum, the leading provider of cloud-based learning and assessment platforms. This new agreement brings Vocareum’s comprehensive suite—including AI Gateway, AI Notebook, and Cloud Labs —to all U-M programs and departments, enabling university-wide access to cutting-edge educational tools.

This expansion builds on the successful deployment of Vocareum’s solutions across numerous courses in the School of Information, College of Engineering and College of Literature, Science and the Arts. U-M’s decision to scale campus-wide underscores its commitment to integrating advanced technology into education to prepare students for the future workforce.

A key component of this partnership is the implementation of Vocareum’s AI Gateway and AI Notebook, which provide secure, managed access to generative AI models like Azure OpenAI and U-M’s proprietary U-M GPT. These tools empower students and faculty to leverage state-of-the-art AI resources while ensuring data privacy and compliance with institutional policies.

Michigan and Vocareum’s partnership is already slated to grow further with the widely acclaimed Master of Applied Data Science (MADS) program, where the Vocareum platform will help enhance the online learning experiences.
